From the 19th Century to the New Millennium
Over 111 Years of Family Ministry to the Needy
Ministerial Heritage
In 1889, Major John and Amelia Stolliker were part of a group of twenty Salvation Army volunteers who, upon hearing of a need in the far off land of India, gave themselves to a life of self-sacrifice and uncertainess. They later became known as the famous "Canadian Twenty".
It was only after six years of service in India that John contracted cholera and they were forced to return home, John's body being severely weakened by the malady, yet they remained faithful in their service throughout the duration of their lives.
Several of their children also spent their lives in Salvation Army social service work. Their daughter Vera and her husband Fred spent their lives encouraging widows, visiting convalescent hospitals, and helping wherever they found a need, and there were many.
Endued with this heritage, we, their daughter and grandchildren, are commited to that same level of service as they...A Ministry You Can Trust!
